New Prepaid Card for Americans in Cuba
Monday, September 26, 2016

Havana.- The company International Port Corp (IPC), based in Miami (Florida), will launch a prepaid card for the use of Americans traveling to Cuba.

That instrument, called Club Malecón, can be used at ATMs, currency exchange houses of Cuba and bank offices and outlets that accept a payment system through this card.

The card complies with safety Cuban laws and banking, does not require a minimum deposit, while the maximum allowed is $ 10,000.

In addition, there is a surcharge of $ 10 for the purchase of the prepaid card for the first time, deducted with the first purchase made, then a share of three percent is applied for foreign exchange transactions.

It is noteworthy that in mid-2016 Stonegate Bank issued a debit card that can be used in Cuba, the first of its kind offered in the United States.
