Cuban Basketball Comply with Preparation in China
Monday, October 17, 2016

Havana.- A Cuban masculine basketball team will meet this month with a training program in China, in which it will perform several friendly games.

Directors of the Cuban Federation of that sport pointed out that the Cuban team is made up of 12 players, mostly young athletes who have excelled in the National Ascent Tournament.

In the warm-up team the island expects to face at least a dozen clubs from Venezuela, United States, Canada and China.

The shortlisted team begins this new stage with about 30 percent of renewal in their ranks, a generational change seen positively to rejuvenate the Cuban main lineup.

The list will be missing four players engaged in foreign leagues, as Orestes Torres and Livan Valdés, in El Salvador, Javier Jústiz, in Argentina, and Joan Luis Haiti, who plays in Panama.
