Cuban Fruit to the European Market |

Havana.- The Cuban fruits found spaces in the European continent with the export of some 1,100 tons of pineapple in 2016 by the farmers of Ciego de Avila.
This volume is over 200 tons higher than the result of the previous year, together with the use of the product variety MD-2.
Shipments were concentrated in the markets of France, Italy and Spain, thanks to the activity of the Citrus Caribbean entity of the Ministry of Agriculture.
The project with the MD-2 advances in state areas and peasant farms as there are abundant postures for the development of these plantations.
Pineapple contains cancer-fighting micronutrients, diuretic properties, chemicals that stimulate the kidneys, help eliminate the toxic elements of the body and intestinal disorders.
