Acosta Danza with New Proposals
Monday, February 20, 2017

Havana.- The company Acosta Danza, directed by the renowned dancer Carlos Acosta, foresees three world premieres in the dance season that begins in March.

The repertoire of the group includes the works Avium, by Ely Regina Hernández; We, by Beatriz García and Raúl Reinoso; and Twelve, by Spanish Jorge Crecis. Glass

Avium uses music by Camille Saint-Sans and José Víctor Gavilondo, and resorts to the myth of male and female birds to talk about the cycle of life and solidarity.

Meanwhile, Twelve, with the music of Vicenzo Lamagna, demands to the dancers a maximum physical and mental arrangement, with sports and mathematical elements.

The Third Season program includes the revivals of Around There's Nothing, by Spanish choreographer Goyo Montero and End of Time, a neoclassical piece by American Ben Stevenson.
