Foreign Presence in Cuban Fighting Tournament

Havana.- Representatives from a dozen countries will take part in the Granma-Cerro Pelado international fighting tournaments, based in this capital.

According to the organizers, competitors from China, Japan, Spain, Canada, Estonia, Brazil, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Peru, the United States and Guatemala are expected to attend, as well as the hosts.

The program contemplates a first day for the Greco-Roman modality, another dedicated to the free style of ladies and two in the case of that same variant among men.

In the case of Cuban squad, three-time Olympic champion Mijaín López will be absent, as he is not scheduled to attend competitive events this year.

The agenda of the contest includes tributes to 10 fighters who took part in the first edition of the tournament.
