Cancer, the Main Cause of Death in Holguin |

Havana.- The province of Holguín, in the eastern part of the island, reports that cancer is the main cause of death among the population in 2016.
The various tumors account for 24.6 percent of deaths, followed by heart disease (22.2) and cerebrovascular disease (8.8 percent).
The main locations of cancer in the masculine sex are the prostate, trachea, bronchus-lung (TBP) and intestine, while feminine population mainly suffer TBP, breast and cervical malignance.
As part of the prevention policy, the indication of the prosthetic antigen (PSA) and the hidden human blood test in feces were expanded.
The top 10 causes of death in the province are directly related to risk factors associated with lifestyles that are harmful to health.
