Havana.- The Calixto García hospital, located in the island's capital, stands out for its assistance in the completion of more than 20,000 surgical procedures last year.
With a guarantee of 121 years of experience, the center added that number of interventions taking into account those of greater character, minor and with minimum access.
In addition, it has an Emergency and Medical Center where it offers assistance to the traumatized patient, specialized, preventive-curative and uninterrupted rehabilitation.
Likewise, in 2016, it was possible to admit 157,273 patients in outpatient consultations and 140,000 through the Natural and Traditional Medicine Program.
The health care institution has 37 medical specialties, 25 of them accredited for teaching, and last year the on-call personnel attended about 215,000 people.
