International Tourism Growth in Mexico |

Mexico.- The various tourist destinations in Mexico received 35 million international visitors in 2016, with a year-on-year growth of nine percent.
The activity of the sector generated in the period analyzed foreign exchange earnings by 19.571 billion dollars, for an advance of 10.4 percent compared to the previous year.
Also, the total arrival of passengers by air was established at 16.9 million, while border tourism reported a growth of 5.4 percent last year.
Coupled with this, vacationers who arrived on cruises to the Mexican coast totaled 6.7 million, equivalent to a growth of 9.5 percent.
This way, the Mexican leisure industry consolidates itself
as one of the key elements of the national economy.
