Oslo.- The Norwegian Cruise Line will invest 3.2 billion euros for the construction of four cruises, which will be delivered in 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025.
The company reached the corresponding agreement with the shipyards Fincantieri S.p.A., with a cost of 800 million euros for each naval unit.
The four vessels, of 140,000 gross tons, will have capacity for approximately 3,300 passengers each and prioritize the energy efficiency in its operations.
Through these actions, the shipping company guarantees the expansion of its fleet and the response to the demand of the users in terms of new recreational services.
The company accessed funds from an export credit agency on favorable terms to finance 80 percent of the price on each ship's contract.
