Positive Numbers for LATAM in 2016 |

Rio de Janeiro.- Chilean-Brazilian airline LATAM reported positive numbers in its operations during 2016, the first favorable balance since 2011.
According to data released by the company, net profits reached 69.2 million dollars, in contrast to losses of 219.3 million in 2015.
The largest airline in Latin America also came to revenue of 9.527 billion dollars, which is equivalent to a year-on-year decline of 5.9 percent.
It is worth mentioning that in the fourth quarter of the year, profits of 54 million dollars were reported due to an improvement of operations in the Brazilian market.
In addition, during 2016, Qatar Airways entered the Latin American market through the purchase of a level close to 10 percent of LATAM's shares.
