Cuba and Finland Sign Air Service Agreement
Monday, March 20, 2017

Havana.- Representatives of Finland and Cuba signed an air services agreement that makes official the scheduled direct flights between the two countries.

The agreement grants the designated airlines the rights and permissions to execute different operations, in order to increase the flow of visitors from that region to the island.

In this way, they can access the island without having to go through a third country, thus shortening the travel time between said destinations

To date, from that northeastern European nation, only the Finnair line flew to the island, with a weekly charter frequency to the Varadero seaside resort.

The signing of this bilateral agreement will offer possibilities for several lines to begin their scheduled flights to Havana from November this year.
