Cuba and Guatemala Promote Cultural Ties
Monday, April 17, 2017

Havana.- Authorities from Cuba and Guatemala signed a letter of intent aimed at strengthening links in the cultural field between the two countries.

The agreement contemplates a project of exchanges of artists and intellectuals, which involves specialized entities in the matter.

The representative entities in the mentioned initiative were the Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba (UNEAC) and the Institute of Social Security of the Guatemalan Artist (IPSA).

The document includes, among other aspects, the commitment of the IPSA to provide facilities that meet the basic qualities for the development of training, programs and activities.

For its part, UNEAC is committed to providing artistic support and strengthening educational and cultural growth in Guatemala, through professionals from different art forms.
