Havana.- The Cuban health system has about 2,000 professionals specialized in matters of medical emergencies, as well as experts in nursing.
Their work is reflected in indicators that demonstrate the growing work in all emergency areas, emergencies and therapies of the country.
At present, 120 municipal intensive areas in Primary Health Care and 112 therapies in the second and third level institutions are active in the country.
This provides an effective and timely response to a number of life-threatening health complications if they do not cope quickly.
The topic of emergencies was discussed in an international forum dedicated to the exchange of experiences in this area, as well as defining the strategies to be applied.
