Positive Signs in World Passenger Air Traffic

Madrid.- The world air traffic of passengers experienced in February an increase of 4.8 percent, together with a level of occupancy of 79.5 percent in the analyzed period.

According to the International Air Transport Association (IATA), in Europe this indicator marked a rebound of 6.3 percent, while in the Middle East the advance was 9.1 percent.

Africa, meanwhile, saw its passengers grow by 7.1 percent, while Asia Pacific airlines increased their passenger traffic by 6.3 percent in February.

In Latin America, traffic increased by 2.4 percent and North America growth was a modest 0.3 percent.

Regarding domestic flights, in the case of India the increase was a dynamic 17 percent, while Russia showed an increase of 13.3 percent in internal passenger movement.
