Cuban University Boosts International Cooperation
Monday, May 15, 2017

Havana.- The University of Holguin, in the eastern Cuban province of the same name, is promoting international cooperation by singing agreements that involve higher-education centers in Germany, Canada and Nicaragua.

In the case of Nicaragua, an agreement on civil engineering was signed with the La Salle Technological University.

The management of solid and liquid wastes, as well as the fight against climate change are some of the topics for cooperation with the University of Magdeburg, in Germany.

Meanwhile, the Community College of Nova Scotia, in Canada, is interested in collaboration with Cuba in the fields of economic sciences, engineering and arts.

The University of Holguin has signed 108 agreements with institutions from 20 countries and it is a member of the Ibero-American University Postgraduate Association in Salamanca.
