Ciego de Avila Improves Healthcare Facilities |

Havana.- The Eastern Cuban province of Ciego de Avila will enlarge its healthcare infrastructure after the opening of a specialized hospital in the next few months.
Construction works will total nearly 11 million pesos and will allow improving care at outpatient consult in specialties that were not present in the institution.
The plan includes the opening of services in pediatrics, gyneco-obstetrics, surgery, otorhinolaryngology, orthopedics, ophthalmology, maxillofacial surgery, urology and angiology on the ground floor of the hospital.
In addition, there will be a clinical observation ward with ten beds, operating rooms for minor surgery and diagnostic equipment with a clinical lab, and X-ray scanning, tomography and electrocardiograms.
These improvements guarantee the appropriate care of local people, in addition to prevent patients from traveling to other provinces to receive treatment.
