More Hotels in Eastern Cuba
Monday, May 15, 2017

Havana.- The eastern Cuban province of Holguin will enlarge its lodging infrastructure for tourism after the construction of the Iberostar Holguín Hotel.

The five-star hotel, which will be located in Pesquero Beach, will offer 600 rooms to tourists visiting the region.

Owned by the Cuban group Gaviota, the hotel is part of that chain's strategy to increase its capacities by investing in Havana, Varadero, Ciego de Avila and Villa Clara.

The company currently owns 83 hotels totaling 29,000 rooms that account for more than one-third of the country's capacity.

In addition, pristine sites may by exploited for tourism like the Ramon de Antilla Peninsula, in Holguín, and Cayo Cruz, in Camagüey.
