Cuban Under-20 Volleyball Team Wins Bronze at Continental Tournament |

Havana.- The Cuban under-20 women's volleyball team won the bronze medal at the Pan-American Cup of that sport, held in Costa Rica.
The Cuban players defeated Puerto Rico 3-0 (25-18, 25-21 and 25-20) in the bronze-medal game, completing the tournament with three victories and one defeat.
They lost to the United States in the semifinals, so they could not play for the title and failed to qualify for the World Championships.
The gold medal went to the United States, followed by Argentina, Cuba, Puerto Rico, Peru, Uruguay, the Dominican Republic, Chile and Costa Rica.
The best forward player during the tournament was Laura Suárez, from Cuba, while the best attackers were her teammates Ailama Cese and Diaris Pérez.
