Low-Cost Airlines Increase Traffic |

Madrid.- Low-cost airlines mobilized 7.5 million passengers in Spain in the first trimester of 2017, accounting for an interannual increase of 13 percent.
Traditional commercial airlines reported a growth of 2.7 percent, to 7.6 million passengers, during the same period.
The airlines Ryanair, Easyjet and Vueling shared 34.6 percent of the total number of international passengers arriving in Spain in March.
Meanwhile, the airports in the United Kingdom were the origin of 33.9 percent of passengers bound for Spain, accounting for a 15.7-percent increase.
In addition, the main destination for low-cost flights during the said period was Catalonia, which received 28.5 percent of passengers, followed by the Canary Islands with 19.2 percent.
