Cuba Promotes Investments in Nautical Tourism

Havana.- The group Náuticas y Marinas Marlin S.A. is working on the presentation of several projects to attract foreign investments.

Executives from the sector pointed out that the objective is to increase the capacities of the existing nautical bases to receive small- and medium-size yachts.

Under the modality of administration contracts with financing, the proposals include the base in Tarará, east of Havana, and the international marinas in Cayo Guillermo, north of Ciego de Avila, and Dársena de Varadero, in Matanzas.

European companies from Germany, Italy, France and Spain are interested in that kind of business option.

Marlin S.A. runs five tourist marinas, seven nautical bases, 71 beach spots and 22 International Diving Centers throughout Cuba.
