Havana Hosts International Colloquium on Light Run |

Havana.- The Cuban capital hosted the 5th International Scientific Colloquium on Light Rum at which participants exchanged their experiences about that beverage.
The meeting brought together national and international business people, producers and experts, who debated a broad agenda of issues, held rum-tasting events and competitions and visited emblematic facilities.
The forum was part of actions to increase rum sales in several international markets.
In that regard, this year's revenues are expected to total 125 million dollars by concept of exports of 3.5 million nine-bottle boxes, with possibilities to produce 4.3 million boxes by 2020.
In order to achieve that goal, Cuba is boosting the diversification of productions by launching new brands that meet the demands from consumers.
