New Cuban Medication Arrives in Europe |

Havana.- The Cuban medication Heberprot-P, the only one of its kind in the world to treat diabetic foot ulcers, has arrived in Europe through the Czech Republic.
Cuban experts traveled to that country to advise local specialists on how to use this injectable product developed at the Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology Center (CIGB).
According to statistics from the National Medical Information Center, more than 8,000 people suffer from that disease in the Czech Republic.
Czech healthcare authorities noted that the objective is to provide patients with a modern special treatment that can cure the disease and improve the patients' quality of life.
The Cuban medication speeds up the cicatrization of lesions and reduces the risk of amputation of the lower limbs in nearly 80 percent of cases.
