Production of Construction Materials Increase in Cuba
Monday, June 19, 2017

Havana.- Workers from the eastern Cuban province of Holguín are producing concrete blocks using recycled materials.

The blocks are made using the debris generated during the production process, thus contributing to saving materials extracted from local quarries.

The blocks are sold on the domestic market and are highly demanded, as they meet all standards of quality and stability.

The initiative is part of the development of alternatives that contribute to improving the availability of that material, which is highly demanded.

Holguin's entrepreneurial sector is boosting other projects to handle production wastes, including the production of plastic baskets and buckets.
