Cuba and Mexico Sign Agreements on Medical Cooperation |

Havana.- Representatives from Cuba and Mexico are boosting cooperation in the medical field to strengthen relations in that sector.
In that regard, three agreements on scientific, technical and academic cooperation were signed, one of them with the Institute of Security and Social Services of the Workers of the State of Mexico (ISSSTE).
The accord deals about hospital medical care, the administration of healthcare systems, training of human resources, early detection of chronic-degenerative diseases and prevention.
Another agreement involves the Mexican Institute of Social Security to exchange knowledge and research works on science and technology, among other aspects.
In addition, Cuba's International Neurological Restoration Center (CIREN) and the ISSSTE closed a deal to develop basic, clinical and medical research projects.
