German Cinema in Cuba
Monday, June 26, 2017

Havana.- The Cuban capital will host this month another edition of the German Cinema Week, during which five films from that European country will be screened.

The program includes the exhibition of Stefan Zweig: Goodbye to Europe, a biographical film about that Austrian intellectual and novelist born in 1881.

According to German experts, the event will deal with sentiments and problems like hope, fear, love, happiness, maternity and death.

In addition, the initiative is based on two decades of cooperation among the Cinematheque of Cuba, the German Embassy in Havana and the Goethe Institute.

The list of motion pictures to be exhibited also includes 24 Weeks, which won the Silver Lola Award, as well as Herbert, Four Kings, I and Kaminski, and Savage.
