Cuban Medical Cooperation Grows |

Havana.- Cuba has expanded its international medical cooperation to 162 countries between 1960 to date.
According to authorities, some 373,000 experts have rendered their services during the abovementioned period, and at present, 42,000 medical collaborators are working in 64 countries.
In that regard, they highlighted the contribution from the International Contingent of Doctors Specialized in Disaster Situations and Serious Epidemics, which has worked provided its services in 21 countries with 24 brigades.
The latest action by the Contingent was in Peru, where a team of 23 medical professionals attended to more than 24,000 patients, including 987 confirmed cases of dengue fever.
That way, the Contingent has provided medical assistance to more than 3.5 million patients and has saved some 80,000 lives.
