Route of 2018 Rally Dakar Designed

Lima.- The route of the 40th edition of the Rally Dakar in 2018 will include regions in Argentina, Bolivia and Peru.

According to organizers, the event will consist of 14 stages, seven of which will go through dunes, in addition to 55 percent of the itinerary consisting of clocked segments.

The Rally has already visited 29 countries, including three in Europe, five in South America and 21 in Africa, and it is considered the world's second major automobile event.

As an example, the 2017 edition brought together 500 competitors and was watched by 4.5 million spectators.

In Peru, the Rally will go through the cities of Lima, Ica, Huancavelica, Ayacucho, Arequipa and Puno, in addition to La Paz, Uyuni and Tupiza in Bolivia, and Salta, Belén, Chilecito, San Juan and Córdoba in Argentina.
