Cuba to Compete in Pan-American Weightlifting Tournament |

Havana.- Fourteen Cuban weightlifters will participate in the Pan-American Championships of that sport in Miami, the United States.
According to experts, the goal is to win as many points as possible in the qualifying ranking for the Central American Games in Barranquilla in 2018.
Previously, the Cuban weightlifters completed a three-week training phase on Isla de la Juventud (Isle of Youth).
The women's team includes Eliany Bermúdez and Lidia Montero (48 kg), Niulis González (53 kg), Yaneisy Meriño and Mariela Hernández (69 kg), and Melissa Aguilera (75 kg).
The men's team is made up of the world medalist Yoelmis Hernández (85 kg), who will be accompanied in that division by Olfides Sáez, in addition to Dariel Villarreal (62 kg), Oscar Reyes (77) and Víctor Quiñónez (94 kg).
