Peruvian Authorities Work to Increase Tourist Arrivals
Monday, July 24, 2017

Lima.- Peru's authorities are focusing their efforts to increase tourist arrivals in a medium term, to receive seven million vacationers by 2021.

According to experts, that result represents a solid growth, compared to the 3.8 million foreign tourists who visit the country every year at present.

Chile, the United States, Ecuador, Argentina and Colombia are Peru's top five tourist-sending countries.

In that regard, the number of vacationers who take excursions to Cuzco, as well as to Ica and Paracas, which provide nature and cultural options, has increased steadily.

Authorities expect an increase in the number of tourists who will visit Kuelap, a fortress in the Amazon region where access is through cable cars.
