Cuban Musical Group Is Highly Acclaimed Abroad |

Havana.- The Cuban traditional musical group Septeto Santiaguero, based in eastern Santiago de Cuba province, has been highly acclaimed abroad.
The group is touring 15 cities in the United States, where they are promoting their latest CD, entitled Raiz (Root), which is a chronology of Cuban popular music.
This year, Septeto Santiaguero will promote the abovementioned CD, so they are working on another tour with collaboration from Freshen Up Arts, Empresa de Grabaciones y Ediciones Musicales (EGREM) and Los Canarios Music.
In conjunction with EGREM, the group will sponsor an event to be called Los Dias del Son (The Days of Son) in 2018.
In 2015, Septeto Santiaguero won the Latin Grammy Award in the Best Tropical Tradicional Album category with their CD Los Compadres: No Quiero Llanto, which featured the Dominican singer José Alberto El Canario.
