Havana.- Cuban athletes will compete in the World Modern Pentathlon Championships in the junior and adult categories, in which they expect to improve their positions in the international ranking.

The event for adults will take place in Cairo, Egypt, where Cuba will be represented by José Ricardo Figueroa and Lester Ders, who are coached by Orlando Salvador.

In the junior event, scheduled from August 25 to September 5 in Merida, Mexico, Cuba will be represented by Raidel Oramas and Eliannis Cámara.

That city will also host the qualifier for the Youth Olympic Games, in which Cuba will seek to qualify through Marcos Tojas and Sofía Najarro.
