Qatar Eases Visa Procedures for Tourist
Monday, August 14, 2017

Doha.- Qatari authorities have taken measures to increase the flexibility of the visa granting process by eliminating that requirement for tourists from 80 countries.

According to experts, the exemption of visas will come into force automatically and includes all countries from the European Union, South America, and Mexico, Costa Rica, Panama and the United States.

With the new measure, a visa exemption document will be issued when the tourists arrive at Qatari airports and produce their passports and return tickets.

In that group, 47 countries, including Cuba, Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Panama, Costa Rica, Mexico, Paraguay, Uruguay, Venezuela and Russia, will have a permit valid for 30 days.

So far, tourists had to pay a 100-Qatari-riyal visa (about 27 dollars) and in some cases they had to apply for it before traveling.
