Biofertilizers for Cuban Agriculture |

Havana.- Cuban agricultural authorities are promoting the production of biofertilizers nationwide to support agriculture.
In western Matanzas province, a plant was built in Jagüey Grande to produce nutrients that are essential to soils, especially in nurseries for citrus and other fruit trees.
In addition, investments have been made to build protected crop houses for nurseries and to obtain certified buds of citrus to improve the crops.
At the same time, cooperation is being boosted to increase exports of pineapple, mango, avocado and other crops that are highly demanded on the international market.
The biofertilizers made with mycorrhiza fungi are used on the plants' roots and favor their nutrition.
