Digital Technology Benefits Public Health in Cuba |

Havana.- The healthcare sector in the eastern Cuban province of Holguin is benefiting from the use of digital radiography at the Lucia Iñiguez Surgical Clinical Hospital.
According to experts, that procedure prevents the use of chemicals and other materials to develop conventional X-rays screenings.
Digital radiography also benefits doctors and patients, due to its immediate visualization at any hospital in the country.
In addition, it allows physicians to make a more accurate diagnosis as they can make a zoom on the images and color them, something that cannot be done with the traditional X-ray technique.
The hospital has digitalized all medical images, including those resulting from Computerized Axial Tomography (CAT) and Magnetic Resonance.
