Medical Facilities Remodeled in Western Cuba |

Havana.- The Jose Ramon Lopez Provincial Hospital, in Matanzas, has benefited from a broad remodeling program to turn that facility into a maternal center.
According to experts, workers are carrying out several construction tasks and modifications in 29 areas of the hospital.
Works are at 53 percent of completion and include the renovation of several areas, like the wards for pregnant women and gynecological surgery, and the emergency room.
In addition, the façade's wood work was replaced by aluminum, and renovations have been made at the operating room, the laboratory and the pathological anatomy lab.
The four-million-peso project started in March and is scheduled for completion in December 2017.
