Cuba Guarantees Safe Air Traffic in the Region |

Havana.- Cuba guarantees safe air traffic in the region with an efficient management and control of flights over the country.
According to experts, Cuba ranks fifth in terms of air control operations in the Caribbean, Central America and South America, only preceded by Argentina and Brazil.
Officials from Empresa Nacional de Navegación Aérea (ECNA) pointed out that air traffic is expected to increase 3 percent this year, compared to 2016.
Over the past five years, Cuba has handled more than 300,000 air traffic control operations a year, and that number might exceed 350,000 controlled flights in 2017.
Every day, Cuban air traffic controllers handle 800-1,000 flights, 25 percent of which are operated by the U.S. company American Airlines.
