International Air Sector Reports Good Results in 2017 |

Geneva.- The international air sector reported a 7.9-percent growth in the first semester of 2017, the highest increase over the past 12 years.
The International Air Transport Association (IATA) pointed out that the occupation rate was 80.7 percent from January to June.
As an example, it said that the international demand from passengers in June rose 7.5 percent, compared to the same month in 2016, with increases in all regions.
In the case of Asian airlines, they grew 9.1 percent, while the occupation rate was 79.3 percent and their capacity increased 7.9 percent.
In June, growth was 8.8 percent in Europe, 2.5 percent in the Middle East, 4.4 percent in North America, 9.7 in Latin America and 9.9 percent in Africa.
