More Tourists Visit the Dominican Republic |

Santo Domingo.- Tourist arrivals in the Dominican Republic increased 5.9 percent in the first seven months of 2017.
According to the Central Bank, from January to July, the country welcomed 3,879,334 foreign travelers and non-resident Dominicans.
In addition, total tourist arrivals, including Dominican residents, reached 4,239,081 people.
Europe was the Dominican Republic's major tourist-sending market with an interannual increase of 21.3 percent. The country also reported an increase in tourist arrivals from Russia, the United Kingdom, Germany, Switzerland and Spain.
Vacationers from North America increased 3.6 percent, while travelers from Central America and the Caribbean rose 5 percent.
