Latin America Excels in Congress Tourism |

Panama.- Latin America excelled in the modality of congress tourism, reporting annual revenues of about 800 million dollars.
According to the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA), Brazil, Argentina and the United States held most events.
In the case of Panama, the Congress and Convention Department of the Authority of Tourism reported 90 events, including congresses and conventions, and 95 such events are scheduled for 2017.
The ICCA represents the main experts in the organization, transportation and accommodation of international meetings and events, and is made up of more than 1,100 members from 95 countries.
At a recent forum, ICCA experts assessed the sector's trends in terms of infrastructure, operations, destinations, business and connectivity.
