Cuban Documentaries to Be Screened in Local Theaters |

Havana.- Documentaries by Cuban filmmakers will be screened in local theaters soon.
The program includes the documentaries "Manuela, el Rostro Rebelde del Cine Cubano" (Manuela, the Rebellious Face of Cuban Cinema), by Manuel Jorge; "A Mi Manera" (My Way), by Lourdes Prieto, and "Una Leyenda Costeña" (A Coastal Legend), by Patricio Wood.
"Manuela…" is dedicated to Adela Legrá and was shot in Havana and Santiago de Cuba, where the actress has resided since 1994.
Meanwhile, "Una Leyenda…" is the first documentary directed by the actor Patricio Wood, who pays tribute to his parents, the actors Salvador Wood and Yolanda Pujols. The latter passed away recently.
That way, Cuban filmmakers continue to work for local audiences, who closely follow emblematic cinema and television actors.
