Cultural Options at Concert Hall in Camagüey
Monday, September 18, 2017

Havana.- The Jose Marin Varona Concert Hall, the only one of its kind in the city of Camagüey, is hosting important cultural events.

Attached to the Office of the Historian of the City of Camagüey (OHCC), the institution promotes the work by musical groups and sponsors educational and cultural projects.

The neo-gothic building is attached to the religious complex of the Chapel of the Sisters of Marie Reparatrice.

Among its historic values is the fact that the mother of Jose Marti's son, Carmen Zayas Bazan, lived there.

The hall can seat 150 spectators in an area of 175 square meters, and it is an excellent place for concerts by small-format chamber orchestras.

Generally, the Jose Marin Varona Concert Hall hosts recitals by small- and medium-format musical groups and choirs.
