Dairy Products in Cuba's Domestic Market
Monday, September 18, 2017

Havana.- Several industries in the eastern Cuban province of Ciego de Avila guarantee the supply of dairy products to the domestic market, in order to meet the demand for food.

In a scenario marked by the damage caused by Hurricane Irma, the province commercialized several cistern trucks laden with milk.

In addition, the dairy plant in Moron is producing natural yogurt for hospitals, as well as condensed milk and caramel spread.

The company Productos Lácteos Camagüey, which is Cuba's largest dairy plant, has implemented several improvements over the past few years to increase production.

Actions focus on the ice cream factory Coppelia, in Camagüey, the pasteurizing plants in Nuevitas, Florida and Santa Cruz del Sur, and the cheese plants La Vaquita, Taíno and Sibanicú.
