Monday, September 25, 2017

Havana.- Cuban rowers will compete in the World Rowing Championships to be held in Sarasota, the United States.

Cuban experts pointed out that the four-strong team in the short-row open category (M4x) is already training in that city.

The team, made up of Eduardo Rubio, Félix Patterson, Jesús Rodríguez and Erick Vinet, was invited to the event by the International Rowing Federation.

The other delegation members are Angel Fournier, who will compete in the single open event (M1x), and Raúl Hernández (LM1x), Licet Hernández (LW1x), Adrián Oquendo and Janier Concepción (M2x).

The rower with more options to win medals is Fournier, bronze medalist in the world championships in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, in 2014, and silver medalist in the world cups in Lucerne, Switzerland, and Poznan, Poland, in 2017.
