Nature Tourism in Eastern Cuba
Monday, September 25, 2017

Havana.- The eastern Cuban province of Holguin will host the 11th International Event on Nature Tourism (TURNAT-2017).

That territory will share the venue of the event with the city of Baracoa, also in eastern Cuba.

According to experts, Holguin has the necessary infrastructure and logistics to hold a successful meeting that will bring together travel agents, tour operators, experts, educators and nature enthusiasts from all over the world.

The meeting's agenda will consist of launching new ecological trails and routes that promote the most autochthonous values of Cuban culture.

TURNAT was first held in 2000 in Viñales, in Cuba's westernmost province, Pinar del Rio. Since then, the meeting has taken place in Matanzas, Cienfuegos, Sancti Spiritus, Villa Clara and the city of Baracoa, in Guantanamo.
