Havana.- The Guerrilla de Teatreros (Theater Artists' Guerrilla) cultural project will start a new tour of eastern Granma province in October.
According to experts, the shows will be staged in zones where the patriots led by Carlos Manuel de Cespedes during the war of Independence camped and will consist of music, dance and theater for children and adults.
The tour will conclude in Bayamo, the first city liberated by the Cuban patriots during the Ten-Year War (1868-1878), where the artists will represent Cuban historic personages.
The program includes theoretical events, art exhibitions, theater performances, dance, cinema, traditional cuisine and musical shows.
Founded in 1992, Guerilla de Teatreros has won, among other prizes, the international award Somos Patrimonio 2003, granted by Colombia's Convenio Andrés Bello.
