Havana.- The Cuban capital will host the men's world volleyball qualifier of the NORCECA, which will grant two slots for the 2018 World Volleyball Championships.
Cuban sports officials pointed out that Havana's Ciudad Deportiva Coliseum will be the venue of the event, which will be attended by teams from Cuba, Puerto Rico, Mexico and Guatemala.
The tournament will consist of one all-around round, due to the absence of Cuba and Puerto Rico in the world qualifier for the North, Central American and Caribbean area, held in Colorado Springs, in the United States.
The abovementioned teams could not participate in that event owing circumstances beyond their control, as both territories were hit by Hurricanes Irma and Maria.
