Havana.- Cuba will participate in the International Baseball Tournament of Montpelier (France), which has a Paralympic nature.
According to experts, that initiative is part of efforts to include that sport in the Paralympic program.
Cuba's participation in the tournament for blind and visually-impaired people, is also an acknowledgment from the international federation to the development of baseball in the Caribbean island.
A key role has been played by the National Association of Blind and Visually-impaired People (ANCI) in promoting sports among its members.
Teams from several countries will participate in the tournament. In Cuba's case, the final training phase took place in Havana's Ciudad Deportiva Coliseum.
