Havana.- Varadero, Cuba's major coastal resort, will host the international event Biotechnology Havana-2017 in December.
According to organizers, experts from 30 countries will participate in the meeting, to be held at the Plaza America Convention Center.
The event, sponsored by the Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology Center (CIGB), will take place under the slogan "Agricultural Biotechnology in the 21st Century" and will be aimed at seeking new alternatives to produce food.
The program will consist of seven symposiums on aquatic biotechnology, enzyme technology and modern biotechnology for animal health, among other topics.
A commercial exhibition of reagents, materials, equipment and products related to biotechnology will be held during the meeting.
