World Passengers' Traffic Increases |

Geneva.- World passengers' traffic grew 7.2 percent in August, with an interannual increase of 6.1 percent in capacity.
According to the International Air Transport Association (IATA), the increase in the demand from international travelers rose 7 percent in August.
The European airlines reported an increase in demand of 6.9 percent, while their capacity rose 5.5 percent and the occupation rate was 88.3 percent.
For Asian companies, traffic grew 8.6 percent in the eighth month of the year, while those in the Middle East reported an increase of 5.5 percent.
In the case of Latin America, the increase in demand was 9.3 percent, and capacity rose 10.1 percent.
