New Book on Prominent Cuban Painter |

Havana.- A new attractive book on the Cuban painter Rene Portocarrero was launched in Havana recently.
The book, written by the historian Ramon Vazquez and published by the Cuban Art Foundation, contains more than 500 pages, a documented chronology and several illustrations.
According to experts, the book completes a trilogy that resulted from the celebration of Portocarrero's 100th birthday in 2012 and provides vast information about the artist's life and work.
The book was preceded by "Portocarrero. Color de Cuba", dedicated to his anthological oil-on-canvas series and drawings in 1962-1963, and "Todo sobre Portocarrero. Compilación de Textos Críticos, 1936-2010".
It should be said that the Cuban artist participated in more than 20 personal and 60 collective exhibitions and his artworks are in museums all over the world.
